Police recovered the body of a teenage boy from Turag Eidghah field in the city on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Sabbir Hossain, 15, son of late Baset Talukder of Ghatail in Tangail. Sabbir was residing with his family at Rajabari in the city’s Turag area. Ashraful Alam, sub-inspector of Turag Police Station, said they recovered the bloodstained body of Sabbir from the Eidghah field around 8:45am. There were several marks of injury on the body. Later, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. Away in Meherpur, a housewife has been strangulated to death allegedly by her husband and co-wife at Pirtala village in Gangni upazila on Thursday. The victim was identified as Tahmina Khatun, 38, second wife of Altaf Hossain of the village. Police recovered the victim’s body from the bank of Mathabanga river at Pirtala village on Thursday morning. –UNB
