Tele talk of Bnp, Bip chiefs 100pc correct: BNP

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) yesterday reiterated that the information about the telephonic conversations between BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah was cent percent correct.
BNP chairperson’s press secretary Maruf Kamal Khan in statement issued last night claimed that a false propaganda has been carried out over it only to divert people’s attention to a different direction from the country’s serious issues.“In the wake of some medias continued efforts to prove my information about the telephonic conversation wrong, I want to reiterate firmly that the information given by me is hundred percent correct,” he said.
He further claimed that the conversations between the chiefs of BNP and Indian BJP the two major political parties of two neighboring countries were held in his presence.
The BNP chairperson’s press secretary however said that he does not want to raise any question about the motive and honesty of the media those were trying to prove his information incorrect.
”I also don’t want to raise any question whether the BJP chief has given interview to the particular media or not” he added.
He also claimed that as per the information they gathered from those close to BJP leader Amit Shah there was no scope for the BJP chief to give interview to any Bangladeshi media as he was very busy in electioneering and collecting members for his party.
Sohel hoped that all concerned would refrain from making a normal issue complicated one to divert the people’s attention to a different direction from the country’s persisting serious issues.
He also hoped that the controversy over the conversation between the two leaders will end through his statement. – Staff Reporter
