Local people caught an alleged terrorist along with arms and handed
over him to police at Phulbagadi village in Alamdanga upazila on
Tuesday night.
The arrestee was identified as Kalam, son of Abdul Aziz of Gangni
village of the upazila.
Witnesses said some people of the village challenged Kalam while he
was moving suspiciously in the area at night.
Later, local people managed to catch him after a chase and recovered
four live bombs, two shutter guns, two rounds of bullet and a sharp
weapon from his possession.
On information, police rushed to the spot and arrested Kalam.
Maniruddin Molla, officer-in-charge of Alamdanga Police Station, said
they arrested Kalam on suspension that he might carry out some
destructive activities in the area.
