Rajshahi – A 3-member probe committee has been formed over the allegation of thesis forgery against two teachers of Rajshahi University (RU).The decision was taken at a syndicate meeting presided over by the Vice-chancellor Professor M Abdus Sobhan on Monday evening.
The alleged forgery allegation is against Dulal Chandra Biswash of Mass Communication and Journalism (MCJ) Department and Professor Dr. M Anisur Rahman of Law Department.
Professor Dr. M Akthar Farid confirmed this adding that, 16 former students of the MCJ department brought an allegation against Dulal Chndra Biswash, and similar allegation has arisen against the Professor M Anisur Rahman about copying of P.H.D thesis paper from other theses.
Professor Dr. M Abdul Latif is the convener of the committee. The others members are: Professor Dr. Abu Bakar M Ismail of Applied Physics and Electronics Engineering and Syndicate Member Rustam Ali.
Another committee also was formed making Pro-VC Ananda Kumar Saha it head for making flexible conditions in teacher-appointment, on the day. – RU Correspondent
