A Three-day long art exhibition to mark the International Women’s Day concluded at Rajshahi University (RU) on 10 March 2016 that was started on March 8.
The Fine Arts department of the university hosted the exhibition in front of the Central Library, aimed at creating awareness among people of all of walks of life and especially awareness on Women and Children Rights.
Two eminent artists of the country and also the teachers of the Fine Arts Department Professor Dr. Siddharto Sankar Talukdar and Prof Dr. Ritendra Kumar jointly inaugurated the exhibition at 11.00am on March 8.
Some 50 artworks including paintings, calligraphy and watercolor made by 16 students of the department were displayed at the exhibition that reflected the portraits of deprived women and children around the country. – RU Correspondent
