Nazimuddin Kalu, 22, son of Kamaluddin Mia of Janata Road under ward-4 in Charfession upazila town and a final year student of diploma in civil engineering at Bhola polytechnic, died of electrocution at his residence Wednesday afternoon.Abul Bashar, Charfession police station in charge, said the victim was electrocuted when trying to repair electrical main switch of his house and dead body was sent to Bhola general hospital for autopsy after lodging a case of unnatural death.
In another incident, a man died from electrocution in Shikor village of Narhotro union under Kahalu upazila of Bogra district recently. The deceased was identified as Abdul Mim, 17, son of Manik Mia of the village. The eyewitness said Mim had been electrocuted while he had been connecting an illegal electric line in poultry farm. An unnatural death case was lodged with local police station in this connection.
In yet another incident, A young man was electrocuted at Tila village in Kaliganj upazila on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Nazrul Islam, 28, son of late Monir Uddin of the village.
Office-in-charge Liakawt Hossain of Kaliganj Police Station said Nazrul came in contact with a live electric wire around 12:00pm while setting plug of a rice cooker at his house and died on the spot.
