SSC passouts accorded reception by Nagorik Committee

Some 137 SSC passouts of Bagerhat Sadar Upazila who obtained GPA-5 in the last SSC examination (2013) and their guardians were given a warm reception by SANAC (Sachetan Nagaric Committee), Bagerhat with the assistance of TIB (Transparency International Bangladesh) at a function held in the local (Shaltala) Zila Parishad auditorium on Wednesday in the morning with Prof. Chowdhury Abdur Rob, president of SANAC, Bagerhat in the chair.The ceremony started with singing of an anti corruption song. It was followed the address of welcome of Prof. ABM. Mosharraf Husain, president of Education sub committee of the SANAC. The students ceremonially took an oath not be involved in corruption,  discharge their duties honestly and be always loyal to the country, The oath was administered by Prof, Chowdhury Abdur Rob, president of SANAC. The students were received with flower sticks, and given certificates and crests.
The ceremony was addressed among others by Prof. Sukantha Kumar Mandol, Principal of Bagerhat Govt. P.C. College, special guest Prof. Mozaffar Hossain, Shaikh Mujibor Rahman,  one Examinee on behalf of the recipients and one guardian and 2 teachers. All the speakers advised the examinees to make themselves prepared to do better in the future examinations both theoretical and practical.
Earlier in the same venue a debate competition was held on the topic “Rajnaytik Asthirata-i-Durnitir Mul Karan ( Only the political unrest is reason behind corruptions).” Some 8 teams from different High Schools participated in the competition. The final round of the debate was held between the Bagerhat Govt.Boys’ High School team and the Bagerhat Govt. Girls’ High School team. Govt. Boys’ School became champions. Prizes were distributed by the chief Guest Principal Sukantha Kumar Mandol among the best competitors.
