Thursday’s SSC exams shifted to Mar 8

The government on Wednesday rescheduled Thursday’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations due to a countrywide dawn-to-dusk shutdown called on the same day by Jamaat-e-Islami.

The postponed examinations under 10 education boards have been deferred to Mar 8.

The examinations will be held from 9am to 12pm, Senior Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education Subodh Chandra Dhali told bdnews24.com.

The examinations on General Science and Social Science were scheduled for Thursday.

Jamaat’s daylong lockdown coincides with the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 verdict scheduled to be delivered on Jamaat executive member Delwar Hossain Sayedee tried on charges of crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971.bdnews24.com
