Different organisations and individuals donated Tk over 30 million to therelief fund of the Prime Minister for the Savar victims.Representatives of the organisations and the individuals handed over the cheques to the Prime Minister at her office on Tuesday, Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad said.
Of the amount, Tk 25 million was given by the United Group while Far East Islami Life Insurance Co. Ltd. donated Tk 2.5 million.
Chairman of Bagerhat Food Industries Ltd Amzad Hossain gave Tk 2.5 million from his personal fund while Old Faujian Association donated Tk 200,000 to the relief fund. bdnews24.com
