Tk 4.02 cr contraband drugs destroyed in Jessore

Dhaka- Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) destroyed contraband drugs worth Tk 4.02 crore in the district in Jessore on Monday morning.BGB-49 Battalion seized the narcotics in separate drives from 01 August, 2014 to 31 March, 2017 from the border area.The destroyed drugs included 81784 bottle bottles of Phensidyl, 2809 bottles of local liquor, 19 litters local liquor, 4034 bottles expensive liquor, 958 canes of beer, 310.875 Kg of hemp, 652 pieces Yaba tablets, 25366 pieces of Senegra tablets, 1896 pieces of Viagra tablets and 0.085 gram heroin.BGB South-West region commander Brigadier General Kazi Towfiqul Islam Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Shahinur Rahman and BGB-49 battalion commander Lt Col Mohammad Ariful Haque were present.UNB news agency
