Robbers looted gold ornaments, cash and other valuables worth Tk15
lakh from three houses at Jhaukhola village in Sadar upazila early
Thursday.
Witnesses said a gang of armed robbers entered the house of one
Ishaque Khandaker at the village by breaking open the collapsible gate
around 1.00am.
The robbers took the house inmates hostage at gunpoint and looted 6
tolas of gold ornaments, cash and other valuables.
Later they swooped on the houses of Motiar and Sultan at the same
village and looted 10 tolas of gold, cash and other valuables from the
houses.
The robbers injured at least six people including a minor child by
beating during the robbery.
On information, police visited the spots.
