At least 30 passengers were injured as a train derailed early Wednesday after miscreants removed clips from railway tracks at Kakina under Kaliganj upazila in the district.The sabotage was committed in the last day of the opposition’s 84-hour hartal on Wednesday.
Following the derailment, rail communication between Lalmonirhat and Buruimari Land Port remains suspended till 9:00am when the report was filed.
A relief train has already reached the spot and started salvage operation, railway sources said.
