At least two people were killed and four others injured as a truck overturned on Dhaka-Bogra highway at Sherpur Upazila early Wednesday.The deceased were identified as Ziaur Rahman (32), the owner of the truck, and Asadul Rahman (30), a vegetable trader.
According to sources, the truck overturned and fell into a roadside ditch in Parbhabanipur area at 1.00am leaving two people dead on the spot.
The driver alleged that the incident took place when the truck fell prey to pickets and plunged off the road.
However, police denied any connection of the accident to hartal. –Correspondent, Bogra
