Train service resumed after 6 hrs

Train communications of the port city of Chittagong with the rest of the country resumed after nearly six hours of suspension on Wednesday afternoon following derailment of an intercity train in the morning.Irfanul Islam, assistant executive engineer of Comilla railway, told UNB that the train communications were restored at about 6pm.

A bogie of the Chittagong-bound ‘Jalalabad Express’ coming from Sylhet veered off the tracks around 11:45am, disrupting the train communications of Chittagong with Dhaka, Sylhet and Mymensingh.UNB
