Two bodies recovered in Jhenidah

Police have recovered the body of an unidentified youth and that of a hanging decomposed girl
student from different places in Jhenidah district on Thursday. Of them one was recovered from
Paspatilia village field under Kotchandpur upazila and another one was recovered from Kashipur
village field under Kaliganj upazila of the district.
Of them one was unidentified while the other one was Mita Rani 14, daughter of Prodip Kumar
of Paspatilia village under Kotchandpur upazila of the district. Mita was a student of class eight of
Signbord secondary school of the upazila.
Officer in charge (OC) Shahidul Islam Sahin of Kotchandpur police station said, on Thursday morning
at around 10:30 am locals found the decomposed body of the girl hanging from a mango tree at
Paspatilia village field and informed the police. On information police recovered the body. Police
added that the girl had been missing since a week ago. Police could not ensure whether she had
been killed by the terrorist.
On the other hand, Officer in charge (OC) Liakot Hossain of Kaligonj police station said, on Thursday
noon at around 1:30 pm locals found an unidentified body of a youth laying on a sugarcane field at
Kashipur village field and informed the police. On information police recovered the body. Someone
might have beated him to death and left the body, the OC added.
The bodies sent to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy. –Our Correspondent, Jhenidah
