A kid drowned at Bakulia village under Kaliganj upazila of the
district on Saturday morning.
The deceased is identified as Sabuj Hossain, 2, son of Swapan Biswas
of Bakulia village of the upazila.
Sabuj’s father Swapan Biswas said, Sabuj’s mother was working keeping
her son at the varanda of the house on Saturday morning at around 9-30
am. At the time the kid walked to the pond by the side of the house
and fell in to the water of the pond. Instantly, it was rushed to
Kaliganj local health complex where he died while treatment.
