Police arrested two alleged drug peddlers in possession of 150 pieces of Yaba tablets from Chanchra Raipara area in Jessore town on Wednesday night.
The arrestees were identified as Rana Sheikh,24, son of Sekendar Ali Sheikh, a resident of Chanchra Raipara area in Jessore town, and Rasel Molla,25, son of Yusuf Molla, a resident of Laibia village in Lohagara upazila of Narail district.In-charge of Chanchra police camp assistant sub-inspector Jamal Uddin said on secret information, a police team conducted a drive in the area and arrested the duo at about 11:00 pm.Later, police recovered 150 pieces of Yaba tablet from their possession.The arrestees had long been involved in Yaba peddling, the police officer added.A case was filed. -UNB, Benapole
