Dhaka- Detectivesarrested two alleged fake currency traders along with counterfeit notes worth around Tk 83,000 from Badalgachhiupazila on Thursday night.
The detainees are identified Hasan Ali Chowdhury, 38, son of late Shahidul Islam of Srirampur village in Badalgachhiupazilaand SiddiqueMandol,31, son of late YousufAli of Akkelpurupazila in Joypurhat district.
Being tipped-off that a ring of counterfeit note traders has planned to incorporate fake notes in the markets ahead of Eid festival, a team of Detective Branch of police conducted a drive in Palsha villageand arrested the duo along with the fake notes.
A case was filed with Badalgachhi Police Station in this connection, said MdIqbalHossain, superintendent of district police.UNB
