On Saturday morning two kids were drowned in separate incident in
Jhenidah. Of them one occurred at Monohorpur village under Kaligonj
upazila and another one occurred at Katalia village under Kotchandpur
upazila of the district.
The deceased were identified as Mahamudul Islam, 3 son of Ohidul Islam
of Monohorpur village under Kaligonj upazila and Asif, 2 son of Arman
Biswas of Katalia village under Kotchandpur upazila of the district.
Family sources said, on Saturday morning at 10:30 am Mahamudul fell in
to the water of a pond near by his house while he was playing and
drowned.
Another one, on Saturday morning at around 11:00 am Asif was playing
near the pond by the side of his house. At the time he fell in to the
water of the pond. Instantly, Asif was rushed to Kaliganj local health
complex where he died while treatment.
