Dhaka- A woman and her granddaughter were killed in a road accident on Narail-Dhaka road in Dattapara area in Narail on Tuesday afternoon.The deceased were identified as Manoja Begum, 45, wife of Sirajul Islam of Bagdanga village of Hobkhali union of Sadar upazila and granddaughter Sadia, 2, daughter of Mashiur Rahman from Charikhada village of Hobkhali union. The locals said the accident took place when a truck hit the auto-rickshaw killing the duo on spot.After the accident, the agitated locals blocked the road for at least one hour. Later, police controlled the situation.UNB news agency
