Two people were killed and three others critically injured in an attack by their rivals over a land-related dispute at Daulatpara in Laksam upazila on Friday evening.
The deceased were identified as Haji Abdur Rahim, 55, headmaster of a local primary school, and his nephew Sagar, 22.Witnesses said two brothers—Imam Hossain and Shah Alam—had been at loggerheads over the ownership of a piece of their ancestral land.Following an altercation over the issue, Imam Hossain stabbed Shah Alam, his sons Sagar and Shamim, and their neighbour Abdur Rahim, leaving them critically injured.Sagar and Rahim succumbed to their injuries on way to hospital.On information, Laksam police visited the spot and recovered the bodies. -UNB, Comilla
