We heard that Rajshahi University has earned taka 4 crores from the undergraduate admission test and almost same is the case of the Jahangirnagar University. Around 4 lakh students applied against around 2 thousand seats for Jahangirnagar and one applied for more than one units to increase chance in the test. Rajshahi University application cost is Tk 800 and it varies from university to university.As many students, along with their guardian have to attend the admission test. Sometimes it is not possible for many of them to attend the test for various reasons.
Furthermore, dates were not mentioned while inviting applications, so the dates are overlapped for two or more universities. The dates of admission test of PUST and BUP are the same on 27 October, 2017.
We urge the education minister and concerned authorities to relieve students and their guardians mentally and physically by not taking admission test for admitting freshers to universities from next year and develop a system to admit them just considering their SSC and HSC results.
