The UN Human Rights Organisation has condemned the murder of blogger Avijit Roy in Dhaka on Thursday, Secretary General’s spokesman Stéphane Dujarric said at the daily briefing at the UN heaqquarters on Friday.
Replying to a question the spokesman said, the members of the UN Human Rights body expressed the hope that the perpetrators will be quickly brought to justice through the due process of law.
They also said, “…it’s obviously very important that the space for freedom of expression in civil society be upheld in Bangladesh.”
