United Airways brings 3 more flights on int’l routes

United Airways (BD) Limited private airlines, will introduce flights on Dhaka-Singapore, Dhaka-Doha and Dhaka-Karachi routes in September next.   United Airways is now operating more international flights from Dhaka to Jeddah, Dubai, Muscat, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Kathmandu and Kolkata. It is also operating flights from Chittagong to Muscat and Kolkata.
“We’ve already obtained the permission from Singapore and Qatar Civil Aviation Authority to operate the flights with our own aircraft and will fly to Singapore, Doha and Karachi from September this year,” said Capt Tasbirul Ahmed Choudhury, Chairman and Managing Director of the airline.
United Airways has planned to operate 3 flights each to Singapore, Doha and Karachi. United started its journey on July 10, 2007. The airline is operating flights to all major domestic sectors from Dhaka. It will start operating flights on Dhaka-Yangon by end of this year.
United Airways has total 09 aircraft. Capt. Tasbir said, “We will fly to other Gulf destinations including Riyadh, Dammam, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah also. Gulf is the most important market for Bangladeshi airlines as one in two people who fly abroad goes to the six Gulf countries which employ more than 60 percent of the country’s over seven million migrant workers.” – UNB
