United States BNP holds protest rally at JFK Airport

New York: BNP leaders and activists held a protest rally at JFK International Airport in protest Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s arrival in New York to attend the UN General Assembly on September 22. For a long time, since the United States unit of BNP did not have a committee. Party leaders met at the JFK Airport in a separate event and unitedly staged the protest and demonstration.It is to be noted that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in New York on Sunday (September 22) at 9:30 pm and took a motorbike ride from JFK Airport to the Grand Palace Hotel in the Manhattan Elite Lot directly. The Prime Minister will stay at the hotel during the UN session.
Former BNP joint convener Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan (Milton Bhuiyan), former senior vice-president Sharafat Hossain Babu, former treasurer Jasim Bhuiyan, Union president Jabu Ahab Jabhud, Senate Jawaid Al-Jabudal Leading figures. Party leaders and activists in the rally include Alhaj Mahfuzul Mawla Nanu, Maqsudul Haque Chowdhury, Atiqul Haq Ahad, Sheikh Haider Ali, Mosharraf Hossain Sabuj, Giasuddin, Habibur Rahman Selim Reza, Rakib Uddin Hossain Raj, Ahir Raj, Anwar Hossain, Mazharul Islam Jani, Rashida Ahmed Moon, Eliza Akter Mukta, Ashraf Hossain, Anisur Rahman Khokon, Raichuddin, Saleh Manik, Rezbul Kabir, Hasan Mahmood, Wes Ahmed, Shamim Ahmed, Ashraf Hossain, Nasim Ahmed, Badiul Alam were also present.
At the rally, they raised protests against ‘establishing the government through voterless polls’, criticizing Sheikh Hasina’s government and demanding immediate release of former Prime Minister and party chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. They said that keeping Khaleda Zia in jail democracy in Bangladesh will never be restored. They shouted slogans against the government and the ruling party.
It is also worth mentioning that while Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was addressing the United Nations on Friday, September 27, there was a demonstration rally in front of the United Nations Building from 2pm to 4pm, organized by the US BNP and its front organizations.
