An upazila agriculture officer was electrocuted at Matto Dhakuapara
village in Manikganj Sadar upazila on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Akhter Hossain Biswas, 55, an assistant
agriculture officer of Singair upazila and son of late Abdul Hamid
Biswas of the village.
The victim’s family members said Akhter sustained injuries after he
came in contact with a live electric wire while setting up an electric
bulb in a mosque at the village after Fazar prayer of Saturday.
Critically injured Akhter was taken to Manikganj Sadar Hospital where
doctors declare him dead.
Confirming the incident, officer-in-charge of Manikganj Sadar Police
Station Safiqul Islam said that a UD case was filed in this
