Dhaka – US Pacific Commander Admiral Harry B Harris arrived in the city on Saturday morning.
He is scheduled to call on Bangladesh Air Force Chief Marshal Abu Esrar at 9:45 am on Sunday at its headquarters in Dhaka cantonment, says a press release of Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR).
The US Pacific Commander will also call on chief of Bangladesh Navy Admiral Nizamuddin Ahmed at 10:40 am on the same day at Navy headquarters in city’s Banani area.
Admiral Harris assumed command of US Pacific Command (USPACOM) on May 27, 2015. He is the 24th Commander since USPACOM was established on January 1, 1947, with headquarters at Hawaii.
He will leave Dhaka on Sunday evening, said Rezaul Karim, assistant director (Media) of ISPR. -UNB
