Robbers looted valuables including gold ornaments and cash from a
businessman’s house at Fatullah in Sadar upazila of the district early
Wednesday. Businessman M Nasirullah said a gang of armed robbers
numbering 10/12 entered his house at Aliganj cutting through the
window grill at about 3:00 am.
They looted 50 tolas of gold ornaments, cash Tk5 lakh and two mobile
phone sets keeping the house inmates hostage at gunpoint.
Later, the robbers decamped with the booty.
Confirming the incident, officer-in-charge of Fatullah Model Police
Station Akhter Hossain said a case was filed in this connection.
