Tangail -The verdict in the case filed on the tragic road accident that killed 5 persons including renowned filmaker Tareque Masud and Mishuk Munier will deliver on February 22, Wednesday.The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Al Mahmud Foyzul Kabir, Manikganj, today fixed the date after concluding hearing arguments of the prosecution and defence lawyers. The court also upheld bail of the killer bus driver.
Additional Public Prosecutor of the case Advocate Afsarul Islam confirmed the date of verdict giving on the sensational case.
Hearing the testimonies of the witnesses of the case has started on April 16, 2012 and about 39 witnesses have given their testimonies to the court till hear the argument today Sunday.
After listening to the arguments of both the public prosecutor and accused the court set Wednesday for giving the verdict of the case.
Five charges have been formed against the accused driver Jamir Hossain. He was also present at the court.

Additional Public Prosecutor of the case Advocate Afsarul Islam and Barrister Khan Khalid Adnan stood for the complainant, while Advocate Madhab Saha fought for the accused.
The court sources said that while delivering argument the public prosecutor of the case said that the evidences and witnesses presented to the court clearly proves that the tragic accident was occurred due to the negligence of the accused driver of the killer bus ‘Chuadanga Deluxe’.
His driving license was also expired. Beside, advocate Madhab Saha, defending the accused driver Jamir Hossain said in his statement that, “during the accident the bus driverwas in right track. It was raining and Jamir was driving the bus slowly. Suddenly he saw that the micro bus leaving its own lane was speedily moving forward. To avoid collision, Jamir took extreme left side of the road. As a result the bus pushed at least three road side trees. Yet the collision could not be avoided.”
Replying to argument of Public Prosecutor he said on the court, he Microbus driver was either unmindful or lost his control over the vehicle due to rain-fall he said adding “the accident did not occurred due to turning point on the highway as the spot was a bit away. After listening to the arguments of both the public prosecutor and accused the court set Wednesday for giving the verdict of the case . Staff Reporter
