A court of Dhaka on Thursday fixed Nov 24 for hearing on the remand plea of Detective Branch (DB) Police to place, Barrister AFM Fakhrul Islam, a lawyer of War Crimes Tribunal on a 7-day remand.Magistrate Keshob Roy Chowdhury of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka passed the order after Barrister Fakhrul was produced before his court at 2.50 pm Thursday. DB Police submitted the remand prayer at noon.
Dhaka Metropolitan DB Police arrested Fakhrul on Wednesday from his Kakrail chamber in the capital on the charge of leakage of the draft verdict in the case against Salauddin Quader Chowdhury before its pronouncement. – Court Correspondent
