Dhaka – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan has said that the government has remained farm in a zero tolerance policy through the court verdict on the seven murder case in Narayanganj.“The liability of the seven murder case belongs to individuals, not to Rapid Action battalion (RAB),” the home minister told the reporters at an immediate reaction in his secretariat office yesterday after the court verdict.Kamal claimed that the trial of seven murder case was proper on the basis of proper charge sheet, submitted before the court by the police.
Asked if the RAB own liability as its three officers were involved in the killings, the home minister said, “Some derailed officers were involved in the killings and the RAB authorities cooperated with the authorities concerned during investigation of the case. But, why the RAB will take own liability of the case?.”
“After the verdict, it was proved that no one above the law,” the minister said.
Reply to another question, the home minister said, “Maybe, money could have change hands, but the verdict was not influenced by the vested quarters.”
The home minister informed that the law enforcement and the intelligence agencies are trying to arrest the fugitive killers of the case and the court verdict would be executed after arresting them. – Staff Reporter
