A view exchange meeting of the judiciary, lawyers and Bangladesh Legal Aid Services Trust (BLAST), Faridpur chapter to expedite legal aid services was held on Tuesday evening at a local restaurant.The meeting organized by BLAST was chaired by local chapter committee president Advocate Md. Shahjahan Mia while Senior District and Session judge Md. Zahidul islam attended as the chief guest. ASM Jahurul Islam, Senior district special judge and Md. Atabullah, district judge of Child and women repression prevention court were the special guests. Faridpur bar association president Md. Shahidullah Jahangir and general secretary Md. Nurul Islam, among others, were present.Advocate Shipra Goshwami, coordinator of Faridpur chapter of BLAST conducted the meeting.The speakers viewed that the legal aid activities should be activated more judiciously to help the poor and distressed people who seek justice and legal assistance.As most sufferers are poor women their cases should be treated humanely to ensure their rights for the dispensation of justice in its true terms.
