In the latest development, the government has decided to form a board for fixing minimum wages for the readymade garment workers. The disclosure came from a press conference held at Labour Ministry on Sunday afternoon.
The minimum wages to be fixed for the workers would be effective from May 1 after formation of the board.
The press meet was attended, among others, by Home Minister MK Alamgir, Jute and Textiles Minister Abdul Latif Siddique and Labour Minister Raziuddin Ahmed Razu. banglanews24.com
