European Union (EU) Ambassador to Dhaka William Hanna on Wednesday said it is essential to ensure of pure drinking water and sanitation management in establishing good governance in the country.The diplomat also said the local government has to play role in ensuring this facilities. Besides, non government organization can also play role in this regard.
Hanna came up with the observation while inaugurating a project in this regard at Lalmatia NGO Forum conference hall in the city in the noon.
He said European Union is helping many projects in Bangladesh in establishing good governance and EU will keep it help in many projects, including pure drinking water and sanitation in remote areas of the country.
EU granted Tk 45.5 crore for this project and all people of remote areas will be benefited by this gradually, he added. (Banglanews24.com)
