Dhaka – A woman was killed as she fell from a battery-run auto-rickshaw in the city’ Mohammadpur on Tuesday.
The victim was identified as Sokhina Begum, 45, wife of late Babul. She had been residing at Keranigonj, in the outskirts of the capital Dhaka.Sources at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital said Sokhina along with her 7-year old son Yusuf was going to visit her daughter in Mohammadpur area by a battery-run-auto-rickshaw in the morning.
When the vehicle reached near ‘Tin Rastha Mur’ near Basila, they fell off the vehicle as the driver suddenly took a turn at around 11:30 am.
Shokhina was received fatal injuries while her son Yusuf minor injury. Rana Hossain, a pedestrian, rescued them and rushed them to DMCH where the on-duty doctor declared him dead at around 12:40 pm. – News Desk
