Dhaka – A woman was killed as a speeding truck ran her over at Ujirpur village of Damurhuda upazila in Chuadanga early Wednesday.The deceased was identified as Shahida Begum, 35, wife of late Shahjahan Ali of Bhimrullah village of the upazila.Abu Jihad, officer-in-charge of Damurhuda Model Police Station, said that the accident took place when the truck hit the pedestrian from behind while she was going to neighbouring village to search a job, leaving her dead on the spot.On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.UNB news agency
