Dhaka – Narail and Kishoreganj Districts reached the final of the Inter-Divisional Women’s Handball Tournament eliminating their rivals in the semifinals at Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex in Dhanmondi on Monday.In the semis, Narail outplayed Faridpur by 17-6 goals while Kishoreganj beat Naogaon by 12-8 goals in the afternoon.The final will be held on Tuesday at 4pm while the 3rd place-deciding match between the two losing semifinalists will be held on the same day at 10 am.
Youth and Sports Secretary of ruling Awami League Harun-ur Rashid will be the chief guest in the final.Earlier, six more matches were held on Monday morning.
Rangamati outplayed Mymensingh 12-3, Faridpur crushed Sylhet 16-3, Kishoreganj thrashed Chattogram 13-0, Jamalpur defeated Barishal 13-3, Naogaon outplayed Rajshahi 10-4 and Narail beat Rangpur 15-6 in the morning.UNB
