Women’s ODI: Bangladesh, Ireland 1st ODI abandoned

Dhaka – The first match of the two-match ODI series between touring Bangladesh and hosts Ireland Women’s team was abandoned without a single ball bowled due to rain at the Bready Cricket Club in Londonderry on Thursday.The 2nd and last ODI match between them will be held on Saturday (Sept 10) at the same the venue. The match will start at 3:30 pm (Bangladesh Time),UNB News Agency Reported.
Earlier, Bangladesh women’s made a frustrating start in Ireland tour losing the first T20 match by six runs in curtailed 10 over-a-side
match and finally lost the two-match T20 series against the Irish 0-1 as the 2nd T20 match was also abandoned without a single bowl being bowed due to wet outfield on last Tuesday (Sept 6) at the same venue..With this series result, Bangladesh secured two wins and conceded two defeats against Ireland among their five T20I meetings, another match ended in no result.With the result, Bangladesh earned a mixed result in their three ODI meetings against Ireland with one win, one loss and no result in the other match.
