Women’s World T20 Qualifier: Bangladesh to play Scotland in warm-up match Thursday

Dhaka – Bangladesh will play Scotland in a warm-up match ahead of the Women’s World T20 Qualifier at VOC Rotterdam, Rotterdam in Netherlands on Thursday.The match will begin at 4pm [Bangladesh time].Bangladesh women cricketers are on upbeat ahead of the qualifier meet after completing a successful mission in their first-ever overseas series victory of 2-1 margin against Ireland in late June after clinching the maiden multinational tournament, the six-nation Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup in Kula Lumpur in early June.
In the World T20 Qualifier, Bangladesh was placed in Pool A alongside Papua New Guinea (PNG), the Netherlands and United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Bangladesh will play PNG in their opening match on July 7 before taking on Netherlands on July 8 and UAE on July 10
The top two teams from the eight-nation qualifiers will join Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and hosts West Indies in the final phase scheduled for November 9-25 in the Caribbean Islands.
