Dhaka- Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) arrested an alleged drug trader along with 3,000 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets from Matuail of Jatrabari in the city on Monday.Sources at the DNC said a special team of Dhaka Metro Sub-zone of the department carried out a drive in Matuail area and arrested drug trader identified as Md Jahangir Alam, 43, along with 3,000 pieces of yaba tablets.Jahangir has been bringing yaba consignments from Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar and then selling them in various areas of Dhaka and its adjoining Narayangonj district, said Mukul Joti Chakma, deputy director of DNC Dhaka Metro Sub-zone.A case was filed with Jatrabari police station under Narcotics Control Act.UNB news agency
