Chandpur – Police recovered the body of an unidentified girl from a launch cabin at Chandpur launch ghat on Tuesday.Riad Hossain, an employee of the Dhaka-bound launch ‘MV Abe Jam Jam’, said a young boy and a girl, identifying themselves as spouses, boarded on a staff cabin of the launch from Nilkomol of Hymchar around 8:30pm on Monday,UNB News Agency Reported.
Later, the launch employees found the body of the girl in the cabin on Tuesday morning and informed police.The law enforcers recovered the body and also detained five people,including the launch’s manager, for interrogation.Contacted, officer-in-charge of Chandpur Model Police Station Wali Ullah Oli suspected that the girl might have been strangulated to death after rape.
