Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested a young man along with a foreign-made pistol and three rounds of bullet from Jhiltuli area in the district town on Sunday morning.The arrestee was identified as Niaz Mahmud, a resident of Purba Khabaspur area of the town.Rab-8 sources said on secret information, a team of the elite force conducted a drive in front of land office in the area and arrested Mahmud at about 10:00 am.The force also recovered a foreign-made pistol and three rounds of bullet from his possession.A case was filed against him under the Arms Act.Senior assistant superintendent of police Aminur Rahman confirmed the arrest. -UNB, Faridpur
