A young man was killed by a lightning strike in Dublagari area of
Sherpur upazila of the district on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Golam Mustafa,20, son of Chand Mia of
Gopalpur village of the upazila.
Witnesses said Golam Mustafa was critically injured as a thunderbolt
hit him while returning home from the market area of the village
around 2.00pm.
He was rushed to the upazila health complex where on-duty doctors
declared him dead.
