A young man was stabbed to death by his rival over drug business at Radhanagar in the
municipality area on Friday. The deceased was identified as Abul Bashar, 28, a resident
of the area.
Locals said Abul Bashar and Bakul Hossain, son of Siddik Mistri, had been at
loggerheads over drug business in the area for long. On the fateful day, Bakul called
Bashar out of his house at about 4.00 pm.
An altercation ensued between them over the issue. At one stage, Bakul beat Bashar up
and stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot.
Kazi Haniful Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said being informed, police
recovered the body and sent it to morgue for autopsy. -UNB, Pabna
