An eve-teaser received an year’s of imprisonment by a mobile court for harassing a housewife in Palokury village of Gunaher union under Dupchanchia upazila of Bogra district on Tuesday.
The convict was identified as Shahidul Islam, 22, son of Akkash Ali of the village. Dupchanchia Police Station Officer-in-Charge Riaz Ahmed said Shahidul Islam used to tease a housewife as her husband was living in a foreign country. He made indecent proposals, but the victim informed her neighbour about it.
On the day, people confined him and informed police. A team of police led by ASI Mozaffor Hossain rushed to the spot and arrested him and produced him before the mobile court led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Mamunur Rashid.
