A young man was stabbed to death in Dhighirchala area of the city while police recovered hanging body of a female garment worker from the same area on Monday night.
Quoting locals, police said on Monday night, a group of unidentified miscreants swooped on Iddris Ali, 32, son of Ramij Uddin, near his house in Dhighirchala area and stabbed him indiscriminately. Locals spotted Iddris’s body there in the next morning and informed police.
Later, police from Joydebpur Police Station recovered the body and sent it to Gazipur Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.Locals suspected previous enmity to have been a reason behind the killing.Besides, police recovered hanging body of a female garment worker fromher residence in the same neighborhood.Locals found the body of Nuresa Khatun, 20, hanging with the beam of her room.Informed, police recovered the body of Nuresa, wife of Sujon Miah, a resident of Naral village in Haluaghat upazila of Mymensingh district.House inmates suspected that Nuresa committed suicide by hanging herself over family feud. -UNB, Gazipur
