Dhaka- The slaughtered body of a youth was recovered from the Panguchi river at Gabtoli in Morelganj upazila of the district on Saturday.The deceased was identified as Nanna Sheikh, 25, son of Karim Sheikh hailing from Bhaijora village of upazila.Abdur Rashid, victim’s uncle said, Nanna went to the mosque on Thursday evening and remained missing since then. Being informed by locals, police recovered the body at 10am and sent to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Md Rashedul Alam, Officer in Charge of Morelganj Police Station.Nanna might have been killed over a betting on a friendly cricket match and three suspects were arrested in this connection, added the OC.UNB news agency
