Zee Cine Best Actress award goes to Joya Ahsan

Joya Ahsan has gained the top honor of an Indian award ceremony. She was judged Best Actress at the Zee Cine Awards on Tuesday for her work in the Indian-Bangla film, ‘Bishorjan’. Indian filmmaker Ashwini Iyer Tiwari gave away the award to Joya on the awards night at the BK Grounds of Mumbai. In an instant reaction, Joya expressed her joy by saying, ”It’s a prestigious award and I’m elated.””I’m grateful to Kaushik Ganguly (for offering me the role) and thankful to the entire team of ‘Bishorjan’,” she added.
Joya also sought blessings from her fans so she can come up with some more work and brighten the name of Bangladesh.
Earlier, on 8 April, ‘Bishorjan’ grabbed the Best Bengali Film award in the 64th edition of India’s National Film Awards.The film tells a tale of love beyond the borders, where Joya portrays the character of a Hindu widow who lives in Bangladesh and Abir Chatterjee plays the role of an Indian Muslim.
