DHAKA: The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 asked expatriate legal expert Ahmed Ziauddin residing in Belgium to explain why legal proceedings should not be taken against him on charge of obstructing fair process of war crimes trial.The 3-member ICT-2 led by Justice Obaidul Hassan issued the notice following a petition filed by war crimes accused Muhammad Kamaruzzaman.
The ICT-2 asked him to give his explanation through Bangladesh mission in Brussels within 30 days of receiving the copy of the order.
On December 11 in 2012, ICT-1 Justice Nizamul Huq resigned following a controversy over the leak of his Skype conversation with lawyer Ahmed Ziauddin.
