Dhaka – At least 14 shops were burned down in a fire at Moyendia market in Boalmari upazila in Faridpur early Thursday.Station officer of Boalmari Fire Service and Civil Defense Md Masud Rana said the fire ensued from a short circuit at a feeder store around 2am and soon spread to nearby shops.
On information, two fighting units rushed in and doused the flames after two hours of frantic effort. The loss incurred by the affected shops was estimated to be around Tk 16 lakhs.UNB
